Models Lily Cole, Katherine Poulton, Central Saint Martins graduate Alice Ashby and entrepreneur Isobel Davies have founded The North Circular.

The North Circular uses the hand knitting talent of local knitters and the modelling skills of high fashion models. The end result is described as 'directional fashion pieces over rich tea pieces and local gossip.'



The brand promises modern knitwear pieces, luxurious yet affordable designs and encourages traditional values maintaining the rare Wensleydale sheep breed. The collection includes sixteen chunky knit designs and five seasonal colours. However, in the future The North Circular will include accessories, soft jewellery and some womenswear.

The exclusive knitwear pieces are made from rescued Wensleydale Sheep who are free to graze on organic land for the rest of their lives. at the Izzy Lane's Sheep Sanctuary in North Yorkshire founded by Isobel Davies. The ethical wool is dyed using only natural dyes.



When the site www.thenorthcircular.com is running it will allow consumers to choose their colour combinations, meet the sheep involved and importantly keep track of your garments progress through the 'knitters blog'.
