You’d imagine that Burlesque was something you would find in Soho, where neon signs and fish net stockings reign supreme.
Yet, Ysh London found itself invited to the mischievous sounding event ‘School of Burlesque’ to celebrate Bryce d’Anice Aime’s new flagship store opening in Walton Street in the heart of South Kensington, an area highly populated with high fashion boutiques such as Chanel, Joseph and multitude of fancy restaurants.

On arrival, we were really impressed - Bryce Aime’s boutique is clean and modern with wood, white and black panels from floor to ceiling stocking ranges from his Autumn Winter Ready To Wear collection as well as selections of funky accessories designed by House of Flora.
We have to admit, we were concerned that the store would be full of the kind of slightly un-wearable clothes he’s recently had photographed by 'edgy' editorial magazines, but in fact, there were plenty of wearable collections, even for the average customer who’s not in the least into avant-guard fashion.

Aime’s collection is very feminine, girlie, and could have a strong sex appeal whilst retaining an elegance of design.

Turned out be more ‘pole’ than Burlesque dancing going on, but I really enjoyed watching passers-by in the street who were shocked and surprised by the dancer in the window!
Bryce Aime definitely has a sense of humor – of which London fashion has endless amounts of it seems...
