Sparkle the Dark Up – CHRISTMAS EVENT

'Be ahead of the game and make your own handmade Christmas cards, buy your presents from the Design Museum Shop, wrap them with a twist and dance to the DJ.
The wonder continues with animation screenings, talks and hands on workshops curated by animator and director Ranko Andjelic.
Admission includes access to all current Design Museum exhibitions.'

'It’s a stick up! The Designers in Residence have taken over the museum for one night only. Design Overtime returns with a programme packed with talks, tasks and trails devised with the requited enthusiasm of the FIVE emerging designers that have been residing at the museum over the winter. Be intrigued by their innovative work, informed by their ingenious interpretation and interact with their itinerary of activities.'

The Ten Principles of Dieter Rams – Panel Debate
Tuesday 2 March 7.15pm £15, £10 Members
Goethe Institute, 50 Princes Gate, London, SW7 2PH
'In this panel discussion design specialists from both Germany and the UK will examine the impact and implications of the work of Dieter Rams. In the way that Rams himself suggested “question everything generally thought to be obvious” this debate will refer to the influence Rams has had on industrial design. The debate will also explore what can still be learnt from his methods and philosophy.'

'These informal and informative 30 minute tours are led by a Design Museum curator or selected design specialist. No need to pre-book, but please be aware that there are a restricted number of places available.
