Ysh London was greatly excited about the propsect of being invited along to the private view of an exhibition by London College of Fashion at the Mall Gallery.

This is an annual MA exhibition which selects the best work of the MA Fashion Photography and MA Digital Fashion students, including highlights of the Rebecca Litchfield show, who was awarded Professional Photographer of the Year 2009 by Professional Photographer Magazine.

Student work was displayed on the wall with stories and themes, some of which were shown as a slide show on a computer, displayed alongside garments against a film projection.

Above: Stunning garments by Mi Kyoung Kim, which were a mixture of differently textured fabric and materials, giving it a playful characteristic along with great volume and shape.

Gabriela Autunes showed a collection of experimental photography called ‘Strange Meetings’ which was both abstract and arty.

‘Me Me Me and My Supermodels’ is a series of photos with a magazine reportage style by Serge Kovalenko,  who has created editorial pages with models' faces coved by supermodels face cut-outs. Humorous yet ironic quotes sit next to famous model's faces which can be read as an abnormal obsession to their stardom and celebrity status. Sex is also strongly featured in Kovalenko’s work.

London College of Fashion (LCF) is an internationally renowned college which has been developing a lot of successful designers and key players in the industry.
LCF's wide range in courses is not only in fashion, footwear and accessory design but also in fashion journalism, photography, marketing and history.

Chris Moore, a celebrated catwalk photographer and a guest professor at LCF, announced the winners at the event. The MA award in Management went to Perez Skoczylas from MA Strategic Fashion Marketing, whilst the winner of the MA Award in Media was awarded to Jenna Rossie from MA Fashion Curation and Ashley Mauritzen from MA Fashion Journalism.
