Harold Tilman, CEO of the British Fashion Council, today opened London Fashion Week alongside Sarah Brown.
Harold Tilman began by asking members of the audience to respect a one minute's silence in remembrance of Lee McQueen. He heralded McQueen as a "great talent...he will be sorely missed..." he continued by praising his efforts within the fashion industry "...he proved that this industry and city is one of opportunity...he has inspired so many". He finished his speech by saying "talent is in abundance this week" and Ysh London.com will prove it to you.
Harold Tilman then welcomed Sarah Brown, wife of Primeminister, Gordon Brown, to the stage. Sarah brown described London Fashion Week as a"..creative and inspiring fashion Week and also a reflective time". She discussed how the economy has affected the fashion industry and looked to the future with promises of initiatives and encouragement for graduates as well as methods of raising the economy with a lucrative fashion industry.
Sarah brown has been spotted with our limited Ysh London eco bag, so look out for her!
