...got today's proceedings off to a flying start. Despite the atrocious weather conditions - who'd have thought wind and rain could cause such havoc to one's hair! - we arrived slightly dishevelled to the grand, imposing space of the Royal Opera House, which had undergone a swift transformation since last night's Bafta Awards Ceremony.

A zig zag catwalk was laid out, and with top fashion editors cluttering the front row - we loved Hilary Alexander's fur hood - the show began, featuring wet-look fabrics in shimmering shades from pillar-box red to charcoal, and hints of gold shimmering through transparent woven shift dresses. A beautiful show indeed.

When we popped backstage we spotted Bill Nighy chatting to a film crew, and whilst we photographed him for this blog, he broke off to say hello to us, with a nod and a wink to the YshLondon team - what a lovely, lovely man!
