This year's Texprint event is again awash with bright young things :  the textile stars of the future.

Texprint is the most important event of the year, for the industry to welcome new design talent and offer them an un-precedented platform, both at the London First View event and at Premier Vision, and not to mention Interstoff Asia, Hong Kong, for the luck few competition winners.

At the packed out private view last night, key industry figures from esteemed companies such as Burberry and New Look were to be found chatting to students and taking in the vast quantity and quality of work on show from it's 24 young graduates.

Some of our favourite work so far :

Andrew Stevenson

Awarded the Interior Fashion prize by Donna Wilson (previous designer of the month at YshLondon!) for his beautiful, painterly approach to hand-painted prints and weaves, Andrew is an RCA graduate and hopes to continue in menswear textile design.

We also loved his (own-designed) trousers!

Jenna Gibson

Also catching our eye were Jenna Gibson's architecture inspired prints on body con shapes which beautifully translated shadows into halftone shimmering light :

YshLondon are tempted to place and order!

Come back for our full round-up of our favourite designers of the event, from our reporter Elisa Pettigrew.

And in the meantime, graduates - bonne chance!
